Yoshi_A199383NOT A DOG FOR YOUNG/SMALL CHILDRENYoshi is an approximate 3-year-old, intact female, yellow and white Akita mix that weighs 65 pounds. She arrived as a stray on 10/10/19. Yoshi is a super smart girl that can catch treats in the air! In addition, she knows the sit and speak commands and appears to be house trained. Yoshi is protective with her food, so we cannot allow her to go into a home with small children. We also recommend she be adopted by someone with her breed experience. Yoshi has a medium energy level and can be timid/guarded with people she doesn`t know (very typical for her breed). She is friendly toward the cats here and the shelter and neutral toward the dogs. If you have another dog and are interested in adopting Yoshi, bring them to the shelter with you and our staff will help you with a meet and greet. Yoshi`s $85 adoption fee includes a $40 voucher to be used toward her spay, which, by law, MUST be done within 30 days of adoption (this will be thoroughly followed up). The fee also includes her up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, leash, collar and goody bag!
