My name is Shadow and I am an incredibly handsome black lab mix. I'm around 5 years old and have the happiest smile you may have ever seen on a dog! I absolutely love my foster mom and get so excited when she comes home from work that I howl and gallop around the house like a reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh! She even nicknamed me ""Shadow Dancer"" because of my fancy moves! :D I love taking walks, playing, and chasing bumble bees and lizards. I'm not crazy about strangers but I'm working with a trainer on that right now. I'm also learning crate training and loose leash walking but I've got potty training down pat. I like riding in the car and am comfortable with other dogs. I've never been around cats so I'm not sure how I feel about them, but I don't have any sort of food aggression so who knows? I'm not crazy about kids so I would love to be with a family with kids over 12 and who would continue working on building my confidence and comfort with other humans who aren't in my family. I am up to date on vaccines, Heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped. If you think that I am the perfect boy for you, please go to the NCHS website and fill out an application.
