Bear was adopted from our shelter in 2019 as an older puppy. He ended up in the San Marcos shelter as a stray, and the owner never reclaimed him so he was transferred back so us. He is a high energy breed, that has not slowed down in his time with his previous owner. He walks fairly well on a leash, but can tug if you aren't paying attention and will freak out / yank away if there is too much tension on the leash. He is a fence jumper, and should not be left in a gated fence unattended. His previous owner had another dog, so he should be dog friendly, but a meet and greet is highly recommended. He knows how to sit. He seems to have a habit of counter surfing, and jumping up to see everything that's going on. When he gets excited, he jumps about 2 feet straight up in the air. Bear is neutered, vaccinated with DHPP and Bordetella, is microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. The adopter will be responsible for getting his rabies vaccination.
