How this pet arrived: Luna Mae was brought in by her previous owner. At SDHS: Luna Mae has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Why this pet is the one for you: This big-eared playful goofball is Luna Mae! When she first arrived at SDHS, she was experiencing a lot of new things for the first time and very scared. With plenty of time patience and lots of yummy treats, Luna Mae has come to enjoy spending time with people she knows well, and will follow her favorite people around, take yummy treats from hand and just hang out sitting beside them. Some of Luna Mae's favorite past-times include playing with her best doggy friends, nomming on her favorite snacks (canned chicken and cream cheese), playing in her water bowl, foraging for yummies in toys like her snuffle mat, chasing tossed treats around the yard and playing stealthily in her kennel with her stuffies. Luna Mae is still getting used to leash pressure and can be uncomfortable with hands reaching into her space to clip her leash sometimes, so for now, she is looking for a home with a fenced in yard to explore with her new doggy friends as she builds her confidence. Luna Mae is looking for a home with patient fellow introverts, a friendly doggy playmate and possibly tiny humans over the age of 12 (who can respect that sometimes, we just like to take a break from interaction and touch) who can give her the time she needs to blossom into the incredible, goofy and sweet girl that she truly is.
