Ruger is a 6.5 year old pure bred German Shepherd (born April 2017) and is such a sweet and energetic boy. who is good with kids, likes playing with other dogs, and LOVES playing fetch. He had a intussusception as a puppy and has had 16” removed from his intestines/colon. Due to this he will always be very thin and his bowel movements later in the day can be looser than in the morning. He has not had any more intestinal “twists” or issues since his surgery as a puppy. It has been a long hard decision to re-home him but he does not get as much exercise and attention that he needs from his growing family and they feel he is suffering more emotionally from this. They would love to see him go to someone/ a family that will Love him Big and be sensitive to his past intestinal intussusception (example: giving him decent / non inflammatory food) and to also be active with him and be able to play fetch with him (his absolute favorite). They believe he would do great with someone who has a very large backyard or acreage. He deserves more and Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised to help find him a good family or person to give him their utmost love and attention.
