Meet sweet Heather! Out of the Woods has taken in four siblings (3 boys and 1 girl) who were born on May 26, 2023, in Searcy, Arkansas. This female is simply beautiful! She has super soft fur and she's one of the smallest at 24 pounds. We expect her to top out around 35 pounds when full grown.It's quite obvious she is a hound mix, probably some foxhound in there, but there may be a touch of something else in there as well as her fur is just a wee bit longer than a hound's fur. This little sweetheart is a bit shy but is thriving in her foster home with some other dogs who are showing her the ropes and she is doing well on leash and visiting other dogs in the neighborhood on her walks. She is just a delightful little doll, who, with patience, will blossom into a wonderful family pet!Heather is being crate trained and is good in her crate, although she's not crazy about going in the crate, once we convince her she is going in, she's fine with it. She rides well in a car with no drooling, vomiting or anxiety and has picked up the leash with little training. Heather is fully vetted (spayed, microchipped, has had all puppy shots, rabies shot, and is heartworm negative. She is also on flea/tick/heartworm preventative).
