Stefka is a smitten at first encounter kind of girl for the right kind of human. She is a perfect blend of heart squishing sweetness, endearing awkwardness, and puppy playfulness all wrapped up in a package that looks like a little lady lion cub. This beautiful girl exudes love and a desire to connect and is looking for a person to help show her how great life as someone’s canine family member can be. Stefka seems to be a bit inexperienced with the world and while she’s not overtly fearful, she can get overwhelmed sometimes. When that happens, she likes to find a safe spot in the shade with her person at her side and just take a minute to observe and relax before resuming her adventure. Stefka loves toys and carrying one with her helps her feel brave. She’ll also engage with puzzle toys and will happily cuddle up to her human on a comfy couch. She rides politely in the car and when she is feeling brave and has her toy to carry, she can walk nicely on a leash too. Stefka comes with training support through Friends of Austin Animal Center and the Orange Dot Crew to help her be her best and bravest self. We adore this girl with the magical tushy swirls (a pattern on her coat just above her tail that makes us so curious about her breed mix!) and we think you will too.
