We would like to introduce you to TESSA. She is a 4-5 year old Pitbull who came to our pound after being found in a ditch unable to get up. TESSA was taken to our vet where it was determined she had a dislocated and broken hip. Surgery repaired the dislocation and break and now TESSA is healed and waiting for a forever family to fall in love with her. She is currently on joint supplements but is off all other pain meds. It is believed that TESSA will have to be on and off NSAIDS as she gets older and arthritis sets in, but as of now, she is medication free. TESSA is a very sweet and affection itty bitty Pittie. She is a low rider who is calm and laid back. She prefers dogs who have the same kind of energy level---that of a couch potato. She doesn't like rambunctious and energetic dogs. She doesn't mind cats. She's a little unsure when she first meets kids and avoids them, but once she's comfortable, she will happily accept treats. While we don't know TESSA's background since she was found on the side of the road, it's pretty obvious she was once with someone who didn't care about her. Her skin was in rough shape (it's cleared up now but there are some spots where the fur didn't grow back) and she has a couple of old injuries that were never treated.
