Meet this incredibly handsome hunk we are calling Sergio. Sergio wanted to see what the world was all about when he was discovered and brought to the shelter on 11/28. Sadly, no one has dropped by to reclaim this sweet soul. Sergio is 8 years old and weighs 59lbs. He is a nice looking gentleman who is very, very sweet and loving. Despite being in a loud, overcrowded shelter, he stays pretty calm and quiet. Sergio is super smart as he knows simple commands such sit and stay when asked and he may know more. He would love to have a new best friend or family to take the time to teach him anything and everything he does not know already. He is eager to please and would a natural at learning how to be a great pup! He is food motivated as he LOVES his treats!! To him they are the best thing ever!! He will work for his treats and he takes them so gently. Sergio landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and he is hoping his new best friend will turn his life around and give him the best home he could ever wish for. Sergio deserves a stable, loving home that will provide him with a soft, comfy bed to dream awesome dreams, lots of toys, treats, plenty of hearty meals, guidance, reassurance and patience with him. Life is not perfect and whether its a good day or a bad day, Sergio will ALWAYS be there for you. BE COMMITTED TO HIM EVERYDAY!!! He is not a toy to set aside when you are done, he's not even just a pet, he is FAMILY!! Period. Sergio will be loyal to you every single day. Please return the same loyalty that he will show you. He will repay you with kindness, gratefulness, and a lot of hugs and kisses because you chose to save his life. Sergio deserves that more than you know. He is one of our golden boys and we love him dearly and want to see him live out his golden years the best way possible: HAPPY and LOVED. Will you please give him that chance, please? Sergio is current on vaccines, he will be neutered and micro chipped upon his adoption. Unfortunately, Sergio has been tested positive for heart worms because his former family did not take the time to give this precious boy the necessary meds to prevent this. However, with proper treatment he can and will live a long and happy life with you. Please speak to your vet about treatment options. Just because he has this and it can be treated properly, don't let that stop you from making him apart of your family. This wasn't his fault. He is a golden boy who deserves to live out the rest of his life happy, loved and wanted every single day by you if you would just give him that opportunity. Please, please, please, please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know him a little better. Sergio is probably what you have been looking for all this time. He is patiently waiting for his guardian angel to save him in Run 28 and his ID is 652091.
