Willard was born around November 24, 2020 and might be in the 25 pound range when done filling out as he came to us a bit on the slim side. Willard was found by a local dog control officer and when no one came looking for him we agreed to find him a new home. We are really guessing at breed but it seems he's about the right size, shape and color of a Whippet and also very busy. Willard is loving the activity here and would love another fun dog in his next home. We feel he would be good with busy kids too as he's been wonderful with everyone he has met. He is the cutest thing when he's trotting around as he lifts his front legs high like some of those show horses. He has a good appetite and just a fun, happy, social personality which helped him adjust here quite quickly. He is a wonderful size and those ears are the best! If you are a runner or fast walker chances are he'd look forward to each adventure. He's not been a big barker which we love and he's very smart and learned the dog door with ease. He is very interactive with the humans here and when he is tired it is time to cuddle. He's been a great house guest. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list.
