Nellie is a sweetheart looking for a laid back forever home! She is a 6 year old Dane mix - gentle and sweet! As with most large breeds, anxiety comes with the package and she has anxiety being in the noisy and busy shelter environment - she would benefit from being in a home as soon as possible. She's uncomfortable around some dogs and we're not sure about cats. But she definitely loves her humans and strives for every bit of affection and touch - when standing she'll lean into you as far as she can, when sitting she'll get as close to you as possible and enjoy every belly rub you provide. She's a big lovebug who would be happy to be a lapdog if you'll let her! She knows some basic commands and she's an angel on a leash. Nellie is looking for a home with lots of love, calm and consistency where she can learn to trust her environment and her humans, get into a routine so she can relax and let her personality shine.
