Meet Noelle, our miracle holiday mama!!Sweet Noelle was a stray who was running around in the very frigid weather of December 2022, very, very pregnant. A southern foster home was secured for her, but Noelle chewed through her leash and ran as she was being dropped off there. For almost a week, rescuers frantically searched for her and her impending litter. She was finally found under a local house, where she had already given birth to 11 puppies!!! This time, she was brought safely to her foster home along with her family. Noelle was an excellent mom, and all her babies did very well. Her puppies were placed for adoption and most are adopted. It is now dear mama's turn to find a furever home.Noelle has already come a long way from initially being very timid of most everything to being so friendly to her foster canines and humans. She is now sociable with the other household dogs and plays well with them. She has also been great with the teenagers in the home. She has not yet been exposed to smaller children or kitties.Noelle still has a very adverse reaction to a leash. Due to this, she will REQUIRE a securely fenced yard and will initially need to be crated for any needed transportation.Noelle will need consistent training for her to eventually become acclimated to being on a lead. Training assistance is available for her adopter through GoodPup, an online video training program that PAWS has partnered with. The program has been utilized by many of our adopters with amazing results.Noelle is crate trained, going in willingly and settling down quickly. She is also housetrained. Noelle can now be trusted uncrated at home when alone for short periods of time.Noelle would do best in a house with a confident dog sibling or as an only. Her primary shyness would make her initially a fight risk. She will need slow introductions to new people and animals, but we now know for sure that once you earn her trust, she becomes a sweet, loving, content girl. Honestly, it is truly an amazing experience to witness a dog transform from a timid canine to an delightful appreciative family member.Please consider giving this girl a safe and caring home where she will never have to worry about being abandoned and alone again.
