We celebrate those differences and do our best to show that these dogs can lead completely normal lives. Moe is special because he was born deaf. Deafness shouldn’t be a death sentence but sadly due to Moe’s inability to hear he was overlooked time and time again at our city shelter. So many people want perfect and Moe didn’t fit the bill. But we saw what an amazing dog he could be with just a little guidance. Because our shelters are so full that even puppies are at risk of euthanasia Moe got his big break. This awesome dude joined the crew in our Pawsitive Change Prison program. He’s thriving in prison and picking up the routines and everything his handlers teach him. Because of his deafness he’s still learning social cues from the other dogs but is catching on quickly. He’s all puppy with fun happy go lucky energy and the most beautiful blue eyes you’ve ever seen! What he learns in the program will give him the solid training foundation he needs to be an amazing adult dog. Deaf dogs can live completely normal and happy lives. We hope you see what a special boy Moe is and give the beauty that is different a chance at the perfect forever home.
