COURTESY POST Meet COOKIE… this 3-year-old, 50-pound girl spent the first 2 years of her life in a back yard along with (7) other dogs. They never left that back yard. They were not walked. They were not socialized. She did not have a good life. Cookie arrived at the local shelter May 2022, along with (4) other dogs from the same home. Animal control had been called due to fighting. Sadly, one of the dogs had to be humanely euthanized due to untreated injuries and infection. Staff and shelter volunteers have worked with Cookie, and she’s come a long way. Cookie enjoys leisurely walks and is good on leash. She is easy-going and loves to spend time with volunteers. She’s engaging, friendly, affectionate, and loves to be near you. Will lean in for attention and loves to be petted. Knows her “sit” command and takes treats gently. **Needs to be only dog. Cats unknown. Cookie is a nice dog that has been through SO much in her short life… she deserves better and oh, so much more! If interested in learning more about Cookie, please inquire.
