Millie has had a rough year, she had an owner who could no longer handle her and gave Millie to a friend. The friend had Millie for one week and unfortunately Millie did not get along with the friend`s older dog along with telling us she is `too much` (too high energy). Her previous owner stated that she is housebroken, however she needs further obedience training and is working on walking nicely on a leash. Millie already knows how to sit and loves training as it keeps her in motion and her brain busy. Millie has a very high prey drive and would not do well in a home with cats or other small animals. Millie would do best in a home (no shared walls) with access to a medium to large sized yard for her to run and play in. We are not sure about kids, because of her energy level we would reccomend middle school or older. She will need an owner who leads an active lifestyle as she is a very high energy pup (long walks, runs or hikes daily would be perfect for her). We have introduced Millie into our Dogs Playing for Life Playgroup and she seems to do best with super passive dogs that will give her lots of space however would do best as the only animal. She gets overwhelmed by other high energy dogs trying to play with her.Here is what our kennel attendants have to say about Millie:`Millie is an awesome pup for the right household. She is a little ball of energy and is very loving. I have been working with Millie and she is already awesome at sit. She is not super food motivated so she might be a challenge but she is eager to please and a fast learner regardless. Millie does tend to pull on her leash when she`s trying to get places but is working on walking nicer on a leash. She is already learning quickly after only 3 sessions!`
