Update Sept 5 Sarah is a stunning 2 year old German Shepherd Dog blend. Only her short coat causes her not to appear purebred, but she has all of the attributes. She is curious, smart, and confident. She is agile and active and would thrive in an active family who hikes or enjoys the outdoors. She ""talks"" like a shepherd and looks to her foster mom for direction. A typical shepherd, Sarah also loves water. Sarah has been in a foster home ever since she arrived at the shelter with severe demodex. Her former family surrendered her because they could not take care of her. She is all healed now, and her black coat is shiny and healthy. Sarah shares her foster home with large and small dogs, young and old dogs. The cats at her foster home are too fun to chase. She is crate trained and walks on leash. Sarah's former family was unable to care for her. They asked the Humane Society to take care of her. Sarah arrived with demodex, a common skin issue that takes a while to heal but can easily be treated. Sarah went to a foster home within days after her arrival for the extra care she needed. Her foster mom could see right away that Sarah had been raised in a home. She loves other dogs large and small old and young. She loves all people and is eager to learn. She sits for a treat and goes into her crate for meals and bedtime. Stereotypical for a shepherd, Sarah is confident, smart, agile, and will ""talk"" when she needs to go out or when she needs to alert you of something outside.
