Look at that happy face! Mercedes is an affectionate girl who came to us when her previous owners sadly fell on hard times. Mercedes has a heart of gold an nothing but love to give everyone she meets! She was very scared when she first got here, but in no time she has come out of her shell and shown off just how darling she is. All she wants is to be loved on! Mercedes will make a wonderful family dog, and would be a great choice for a first-time dog owner, as she's easy to handle, so loving, and easy-going. Mercedes is dog selective, and in her case that means that she does not get along well with female dogs. Mercedes did test heartworm positive, but all of her treatments will be covered and taken care of by the Humane Society. Mercedes currently weighs about 63 pounds.
