Miss Cassie is a very sweet and beautiful 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs only 30 lbs. This awesome girl was surrendered to a rural Tennessee shelter because her owner thought she was pregnant. After a thorough examination, she was diagnosed with a false pregnancy. All that is behind her now and she is ready for her forever family to find her. Cassie is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet. The first thing she wants is for you to pet her. She lives for the love people provide. As a cattle dog she needs an active family who will walk/run her, take her hiking and fill her life with lots of activities. She just needs a job--something to challenge her mind. She would be better as an only dog. That way she gets all the attention. Cassie wraps her 'arms' around your leg and hugs you. That is her way of showing her love. She will also come up to you and put her paws in your lap when she wants to be petted. She adores people and would be a great family pet. Just no small children as we don't want anyone nipped when she tries to do the job she was bred to do. Experience with cattle dogs and herding breeds is required as is a fenced in yard.
