This is Novah! She’s a sweet 2-year old girl who has spent the last year of her life as a shelter dog. She was struggling in the shelter environment and has now gone to a foster home and is doing really well, but she is still searching for her forever person. She originally came to our shelter two years ago as a puppy. She was adopted but returned after about a year due to the family not being able to keep her. They described her as being loving and playful. She jumps up and hugs her human friends every chance she gets, and loves to cuddle next to her people on the couch. She loves to go on walks and explore. She’s got a lot of energy, but she is crate trained and has been doing very well in the home. While we have seen Novah be neutral to some dogs in calm settings, she is suited for a home where she can be the only pet. Novah is body/touch sensitive around her neck, and needs slower handling when it comes to collaring or handling her around her head/neck. The foster and the shelters' dog trainer will go over this with interested adopters more on how to navigate this in day to day life and how you can work on this.
