Jordan Lee is a 6 year old, 8.6 lb. poodle mix with the sweetest disposition. Jordan was found as a stray in Cleveland covered in fleas, scared and just completely defeated. After a good bath and shave of the small amount of matted and dirty fur that he had left, he felt SO much better. He has been in a foster home with other dogs and has really started to blossom. Jordan can still be a bit scared and shy at first but he is a very sweet and loving dog. He can be a bit scared of fast movements and loud noises, especially when he is asleep, so a quiet home would probably be best for him. He now enjoys being petted and snuggling up next to his foster for a nap. He is kennel trained. He is getting used to living in a house full time and not having to always fend for himself outdoors. Jordan is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Jordan Lee is heartworm positive but this is a treatable disease and treatment is covered by the rescue. His adopter must be able to take him to Angel's Pet Hospital in Tomball for treatment. Heartworm treatment consists of a series of 3 injections, given one month apart. He would need to be kept in a calm environment during his treatment. His first injection is due in early August and then again in September. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with the foster to set up a meet and greet. We are a foster based RESCUE, not a shelter. All of our dogs are in individual foster homes. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
