This cutie is Donner. She’s the 2nd smallest of her siblings and believed to be a mixed breed, but with rescue it’s always a guess and fun to see them grow into a beautiful dog! What matters most is that Donner is totally adorable. Donner is extremely Sweet and loving she likes to be cuddled and pet. She is smart and catches on fast to routines. She’s playful too. She loves to play with her siblings but because of her size she tends to get run over. She’s fine though she picks up and keeps going. Donner loves toys, chewing on her toys and sleeps with her siblings in the kennel. Donner and her siblings are good with kids, cats, and other dogs. They are working crate training and working on house training. They get measured meals throughout the day and no one eats past 6:30 pm, which has really helped with the house training. They are using puppy pads through the night. The puppies in our organization are some of the MOST desperate in the entire US. Based on statistics for Houston and surrounding areas of Texas, shelters in this area are so overcrowded, they are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Donner is still young, this means she’ll need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with house and crate training, give daily exercise and help her grow to a balanced dog. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. And when old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. The adoption fee is ______ and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
