Meet Dru! Dru came to us as a stray who was never claimed. We believe Dru was born in April of 2014, and would do best as the only animal in her new home. Dru is a sweet older gal that enjoys attention, and being outside - but the thing she enjoys most is food! Our vet believes that Dru is mostly deaf, or close to being fully deaf. Dru is not other animal friendly, but loves people! She does pretty well keeping a clean kennel here at the shelter, and may only need a small refresher course when learning a new routine. She is looking forward to putting shelter life behind her! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
