Can you say CUDDLE?? I am Alyssa, your charming 55-pound, attention hound lapdog! Around eight years old, I am great with kids AND cats (I don't always realize my size), am housetrained, and love to sunbathe (I need sunscreen on the white parts and where I don't have much fur)! I am good on leash and love to go on walks. Then, I like to come home and snooze. I prefer to be the only dog in the house, but hey, I will love you so much you will think there are three of me. I know my basic commands AND am OK when am left alone and am not destructive. I don't mind wearing clothes, even my pj's for bedtime. I love giving kisses. I am gentle and easy going and like to play. I also know how to sit, stay, stop, eat, down, up, and drop it. Alyssa’s foster family has this to say about her: “Alyssa loves people. She's thrilled every time we come home, wagging her entire body as she comes to greet us. She excitedly and gently greets every guest that comes into our house, always happy to meet someone new. Though we do not have kids ourselves, she has been great with children she has met at the park! When she's not excitedly greeting someone or on a walk, Alyssa loves to sleep. Her favorite spot is sleeping next to us on the couch, and she also is good with commands to get on/off the couch or return to her bed. She also gets along well with our cat at home. Puppies and kittens will be spayed/neutered and have all shots when they are old enough. There is an Adoption application, a quick phone interview to make sure it is a good fit, a meet and greet with the dog, then a home check, and an adoption contract. We ask for a $400 donation for adult dogs, and $500 for puppies at the time of adoption so that we can save other dogs from the shelter.
