Say hello to Trixie! She is a 5 year old Pit Bull mix who weighs 50 pounds. Trixie can be slightly sensitive when meeting new people, but if you give her a few minutes she is ready to be cuddling in your lap for some love! She enjoys playing with her toys and going on walks outside, but she is also happy to cuddle up on the couch and take a nice long nap in the air conditioning. Trixie will definitely spice up your life with her wonderful personality and adorable face! With a slow introduction she shows potential to live in a home with another dog if they're a good fit. Since she is such a sweetie, she can live with children ages 10-13 and older. Adoption processAll of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability. We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Adoption Fees:Dogs6 months or under: $1756 months to 5 years: $1256 years or older (or special needs): $50 Cats6 months or under: $75 (or two kittens for $100)6 months to 5 years: $506 years or older (or special needs): $20 Senior to Senior Program: For adopters age 60 or older, adoption fees are reduced to $15 if the animal is 3 years or older. This service is made possible through the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. You will be asked to provide proof of age.
