Meet Finley! Finley is a friendly and easygoing cutie-patootie who still has a lot of pep in his step. Finley is about 12-years-old and weighs 12-lbs. He is great with other dogs and with kids; we have not seen him with cats. He enjoys slow leisurely walks, treats, and lots of petting and attention. Finley has congestive heart failure and requires daily medications, which he takes easily. Finley has 'hypoxic episodes' which give him seizure-like presentations. He cannot be allowed to get too excited or walk too much. There is no therapy to control these episodes other than rest and good circulation. Finley is neutered, up to date on shots, blood work, fecal tested and microchipped. Adoption process includes application, interview, home visit, contract, and donation. Los Angeles area adoptions only. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in Finley.Adoption processEach potential adopter of any animal is required to go through an adoption process that includes an application, contract and interview with one or more of our members. We make sure the potential adopter is aware of the medical, training and social needs of the animal; whether it is a growing puppy or an older animal. If the individual is approved, we will perform a home check to make sure that animal is going to a safe and good environment. The adopter agrees to return the animal to us at any point during their lifetime if they intend to give it up. We are committed to finding these animals great homes and screen our applicants very carefully.Shelter locationWe show our adoptable animals at Petco every first and third Saturday from 11 AM - 3 PM. Petco is located at 852 N Western Ave, San Pedro, CA 90732.
