Meet Jack Sparrow! Jack was overlooked in the shelter because he has a skin condition, and because it takes him it can take him some time to warm up to new people and to trust. Once he does, though, he’s a total love bug and he remembers his friends. He likes to curl up next to you or sit quietly at your side. He’s approximately 8-years old and weighs 14.5-lbs. Jack gets along well with other dogs and likes riding in cars. Jack’s skin condition is under treatment, and he is having medicated baths. He will soon be getting neutered and have a dental and will be available for adoption as soon as he has healed. Jack Sparrow is up to date on shots, microchipped and fully vetted including a dental, URI and fecal test. Adoption process includes application, interview, home visit, contract and donation. Los Angeles area adoptions onlyAdoption processEach potential adopter of any animal is required to go through an adoption process that includes an application, contract and interview with one or more of our members. We make sure the potential adopter is aware of the medical, training and social needs of the animal; whether it is a growing puppy or an older animal. If the individual is approved, we will perform a home check to make sure that animal is going to a safe and good environment. The adopter agrees to return the animal to us at any point during their lifetime if they intend to give it up. We are committed to finding these animals great homes and screen our applicants very carefully.Shelter locationWe show our adoptable animals at Petco every first and third Saturday from 11 AM - 3 PM.
