Shih Tzu Mix Dog for Adoption in Jackson, New Jersey, 08527 USNickname: MILO Posted Breed: Shih Tzu / Mixed (medium coat). MILO just had a birthday and turned 3 yo on December 4th. He weighs 10+lb and is a Tri-Colored Shih Tzu who arrived in rescue due to owner's serious medical issues. He is crate trained. Very active, gets along with other submissive small dogs. Loves to run around the backyard preferably with another dog. He is leash trained and likes to walk but has a tendency to keep him nose to the ground. You have to be careful he doesn't pick up anything. Not used to young children so recommend over 10. Also not sure about cats. MILO is house trained and will let you know when he has to go out. But due to the fact that he is not neutered he has will mark in the house and needs to wear "belly bands" when roaming loose. The reason for not being neutered is a reaction to the anesthesia twice. Once when he was 6 months and much more seriously when he was 11 months old. They almost lost him and he had to be resuscitated. He comes with lots of belly bands and is used to wearing them.
