Smart, friendly Lance loves to lay his head on his foster parents ’ lap for hugs and cuddles, which is his favorite thing to do. He loves his belly rubs and is very happy to be around people. Living inside a home is new to him. He came to Almost Home after living outside for most of his life. This 4-year-old tri-colored boy is learning to live inside a warm home. He is housebroken, and his foster family has taught him his name and the commands “ come,” “stay,” “sit” and “ paw.” Since house rules are new to him, he is still in training. His fosters describe him as adorably sweet but still a little rough around the edges. They are working on properly greeting guests and leash walking. Using treats as a motivation, Lance is making daily progress. Inside his foster home, Lance is playful, alert, and enjoys looking out the window. When outside time comes, Lance runs around the yard, curiously exploring every inch of it and chasing squirrels. He is energetic and always wants to know what is going on. His inquisitive personality makes him very attentive to his surroundings and eager to learn new things. He rests when he is tired and happily settles in with his foster family.
