My name is Leonardo but my friends call me Leo or Good Boy! My birthday is 8/12/23. I am a 45 lb. labrador mix. I have a beautiful shiny black/brown coat. I can be shy at first but I’m also a playful pup! I live in a foster home with two dogs and a cat. I love to chase, wrestle, tug, and play bitey face with the young dog. The older dog and I get along fine but she’s not much for playing. I follow her cues and leave her alone when she says so. I’m curious about and like to sniff the cat - sometimes she scares me and sometimes I’d like to chase her. Oh boy do I like TOYS! Any toys! All toys! Squeaky toys, chew toys, tug toys, puzzle toys, Kong toys, bone toys, stuffy toys…. you get the picture. I’m also a fan of fuzzy round beds, ice cubes, ear scratches, fetch, and treats. The best time of day? Meal time! I am a very enthusiastic eater. I am very food motivated which will help with my training. I know sit and down. Sometimes I’ll shake but I will keep you guessing as to when. I am learning to potty outside and walk on a leash. I get better every day! I don’t mind being in my crate most times; I even go in on my own to take naps. I do sometimes protest for a bit when you leave so I’d do best in a home without shared walls. A note from my foster family: Leo is a good listener; he responds to his name and directions. Activities of small children seem to make Leo nervous so we think he would do best in a home with children 8 or older. Leo has many great qualities but is still a (giant) puppy.
