Foster Home Feedback 2/18/24 Temporary Care Feedback: My family has had Herbert on a kennel break for about a week now and he sure is a nice dog. We like to say he has a heart of gold. He has plenty of energy to burn but he will calm down and settle in when it's time, especially the longer he has been staying. He has had no issues sleeping through the night. Herbert is really close on his potty training, just a couple accidents in a week's time and no marking. He gets very busy when he goes outside sniffing and exploring but he is getting the hang of outside is time for potty time, then we can have a treat and explore. He is also working hard on his kennel training, he can be a little loquacious upon entering the kennel, and that is why he is listed as no apartments as of now. Beyond that he is generally a quiet albeit busy, inquisitive boy. I am sure Herbert would love a dog friend to burn some energy with, but it certainly isn't necessary for him as my family doesn't have any other pets and he is settling in nicely. Herbert knows basic commands, such as sit, down, shake, touch and he is very motivated by treats to learn more. Herbert hopes he can have a family of his own very soon, he is a nice size dog and he would make a great addition to ANY family! 2/1/24 Volunteer Feedback: Hi! I am Herbert or you can call me Herbie too. I'm a giant love bug! On walks my nose is to the ground sniffing my surroundings. I pull a little when I'm excited to get to a sniff, but not a ton because I am pretty small. I even stop to give hugs occasionally. I know how to sit. I love cuddles, and cuddles with toys to chew on are even better. I ride so well in the car with a seat belt harness. I just lay down and wait to reach my destination.
