Description:

Labrador Retriever-Plott Hound Mix Dog for Adoption in Lakewood, Colorado, 80135 USNickname: Lindsey Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Plott Hound / Mixed. From foster: Brindle Beauty with a heart of gold! I am absolutely amazed by Lindsey and all of her poise sporting her three white socks! While I don’t know her back story, I would guess that she was part of someone’s family in the past. Since I have been fostering Lindsey, she hasn’t met a stranger she doesn't like! She absolutely loves people unconditionally and offers her trust right away. Lindsey is fully house and crate trained and is very obedient and sweet. Her profile says she is six years old but she has some playful spunk for sure! She loves being outside playing in the snow, or tug-of-war with a stuffy. Her favorite pass time is snuggling and loves to get a good couple of hugs a day. If you want an active dog that you do not have to train you won’t want to miss out on Lindsey! Hey there, I'm Lindsey, the embodiment of canine joy seeking a forever home! From the moment we meet, you'll be greeted by my friendly demeanor and a happiness that's infectious. Cuddling is my specialty, and playing with others is my favorite passtime! Not just a pup, I'm an excellent coworker too, bringing smiles and positive vibes to work meetings. With me by your side, you'll have the perfect blend of work and play. Let's create a lifetime of cherished moments together. Adopt me, and let the adventures begin! Lindsey was originally rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance. We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances. More questions? Read our FAQs here: 4p4l/faqs/ Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed. A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs. Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive. From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - .science/doi/10.1126/science.abk0639
