Portuguese Water Dog Mix Dog for Adoption in Conroe, Texas, 77304 USNickname: Coal2 Posted Breed: Flat-coated Retriever / Portuguese Water Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $100.00. We'll bet you've never felt softer fur than the "salt and pepper" coat on this adorable puppy named "Coal" and she certainly loves petting and belly rubs! For her young age, Coal is laid-back and calm and quickly warms up to new people. Since Coal is still a puppy and new to our rescue we aren't sure yet if she's reliably house trained, but she is crate trained. She behaved perfectly at her first Conroe Petco adoption day and got along with the other dogs very well. Her foster mom says she also plays nicely with her adult female dog, but hasn't been around cats yet. Since Coal was rescued off the streets, we don't know what her ancestry might be, and accurate predictions with puppies is especially difficult. However, our best guesses include Flat Coated Retriever and/or Portuguese Water Dog based on her coat, ears and "body style". Either way, we anticipate Coal will mature into a beautiful large adult of around 60 lb. or so--just more to love! Coal has already been spayed and is current on her vaccinations, worming, heartworm prevention and flea control. Her $100 adoption fee also includes a LIFETIME microchip registration with HomeAgain.
