Maverick is an all around wonderful dog. He's loving, healthy and active, equally up for a cuddle on the couch as for a run or a dip in a stream. A handsome, 9 year old shepherd-lab mix (what a great combo), Maverick likes playing with other dogs and has had positive experience with cats. He's loyal and companionable with people too, with the exception of small children. His current guardians have a toddler. Now that the little one is more mobile Maverick is uncomfortable, uneasy and not a fan. There is also a new baby on the way, which affirmed the difficult decision for the family to seek a new home for Maverick. The best match for Maverick will be a home with adults, older children or teens that has plenty of love and time to share with this special dog.
