Meet SterlingThis big boy is 7 months old and 38lbs. Sterling does well on a leash, loves attentionSterling is a sweet and sensitive boy that didn’t have the brightest beginning, but he is working hard to come out of his shell. He is protective of people and dogs that he trusts. He is still very unsure about men, there have been times that we needed to turn off the tv as that has scared him. He will do best in a calm home as he builds up his confidence. When he does warm up, Sterling is an absolute goofball that just wants to make you smile. He loves to play with our big dogs and is learning how to walk well on a leash as well as basic commands. Sterling is a special boy that will be an amazing addition into a home that understands what he’s been through and the care he will need to get him to fully trust again Update 5/22/23. Sterling has truly come out of his shell! He’s an intelligent boy that learns quickly but still has that fun puppy energy that everyone loves! Sterling has been working on loose leash training, commands, potty training, and even off leash training. This sweetie is motivated by yummy treats so as long as you’ve got those, your wish is his command. Sterling needs a home with a yard and someone who is home alot while he settles into his new environment. Sterling is a sensitive pup that would do best in a home that will have patience with him as he continues to work on building confidence. He does well with other dogs, though his favorites are medium/large breeds. Still unsure about kiddos but with slow introduction we’re sure that he’ll do great! This guy has come such a long way and has so much love to give to the perfect family. He loves hikes, snuggles, and playing with his dog buddies! Does Sterling seem like the perfect fit?
