Meet louie. Louie is a 3 y/o M, lab/shepherd/pointer x. Neutered and up to date on vaccines. Louie was rescued within hours of being euthanized for no fault of his own. He’s reflective of his people and environment. Which means, if you’re chill, he’s chill. If you’re anxious and hectic, so is he. Louie is medium energy but does need to burn energy at least 3 to 4 times a week. He’s easily correctable and eager to please. Playful happy go lucky type energy. Gets along good with other dogs and is good with kids though if you have either of these you have to consider his reflective nature. Louie has been living with the trainer at Dog Speak learning studio for 3 weeks and will remain there until adopted. He’s good at fetch to help drain energy, absolutely loves car rides. Always up for new adventurers like hiking. He’s good on leash, non reactive, and friendly towards strangers. Louie is crate trained, exoplanet trained, doesn’t get into things or steal things. He’s working on off leash training and has great recall though we still use a drag line for back up. It’s unknown how he is with cats but if you have a chill cat that’s good with dogs he’d likely be fine. If it runs I’m sure he’ll initially chase but I don’t see it as something that can’t be worked through. As part of his training, Dog Speak will work with his adopters to go through and maintain what he’s learned as well as acclimate him to his new environment and a follow up visit after 3 weeks at no charge. Louie would love a fenced yard to play ball in but isn’t fully necessary as long as you give him a life worth living because there’s really nothing more that he wants than spending time with you.
