Meet Nova! Nova is a female, 4 year old, American Staffordshire Terrier blend. She is 68 pounds.Nova arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender. She is described as a very playful and loving girl who does well with people of all ages. Reportedly, she is partially house trained, but completely crate trained. She is quiet, too! Here at the shelter, she is pretty nervous, but still very sweet! She loves women especially. Expect her to need time to warm up and decompress in her new forever home. She's a really beautiful and sweet girlie! Nova is a really great girl who is excited to go home!Nova will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how she will do with cats. Nova is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today!The shelter is currently open by appointment only.
