Max is a 3 year old, black and rust, natural eared, docked, doberboy. Max has to be one of the sweetest Dobermans we have ever fostered and has the Doberman personality down to a science. His doberlean is spot on, he believes in second breakfast, has to be constantly with his humans (which means you never have to use the bathroom alone again), feels that your only job in life is to pet him and tell him he's a handsome boy, and has a fear that all his sweetness will melt in the rain. We have yet to meet a person that Max has not liked, and he's met people of all ages. My husband took him to work and instantly charmed the office and showed them all what a love bug he is and was an awesome Doberman breed ambassador. He loves our teenage son and will actively seek him out to make sure he is okay. Max seems genuinely perplexed that not all people want to meet him and pet him. Max is house trained and during the day when we are at work, he spends his time in an ex pen and typically will sleep most of the time. Max has the perfect amount of energy for his age and walks and/or playtime along with his version of fetch has him sleeping right through the night on his dog bed in our bedroom. We currently do not have a dog of our own, however, he lived with several dogs in his previous home that ranged from medium to large size dogs and he loved to play with them. He did live with a cat in his previous home but liked to chase the cat. Max knows the command sit and he knows to sit for his food (although the wait command is still a work in progress). He is very treat motivated which will make training a bit easier. We have also been working with him on waiting to go out the front door, on leash, until we say ok. He's picked up on that very quickly. He's also a quick learner with our treat puzzles and has been able to figure them out quicker than most of the other dogs we have had. Max is a great car rider and once the car ride begins he will happily lay down for the duration of the ride. The one area where Max will need the most work is his leash manners. There is no way to accurately describe Max and his goofy, loving self. Please come out to see for yourself what a treasure he is. Max is waiting for you! He is currently located in Maryland.
