Butterfly is a gentle sweetie who thinks she is a lapdog! She came to us with her litter of puppies. She has done well with them and also done well at events in close proximity to other dogs. While she loves to cuddle, she is also very athletic, and needs a securely fenced backyard with a tall fence - she got her name Butterfly because she can "fly" over a 6 foot fence! She is a friendly dog with other dogs but can be resource aggressive over her food. She would do well in a home where someone is with her most of the day or she is inside during the day, just in case! ---------------------------Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, are up-to-date on their rabies, distemper/parvovirus, and bordetella vaccinations, have been tested for heartworm, and are microchipped. Adoptions come with a container of food to transition your new pet, a toy, leash and collar, voucher for a free virtual training class or consultation with our dog trainer, and the pets' complete veterinary history to date.Adoption processIf the adoption does not work out for any reason, the pet is to be returned to the shelter at no additional cost.Shelter locationWe participate in major off-site adoption events and also visit adoption events at PetSmart and Tractor Supply. Pets are also available for meet and greets at our shelter location. We are currently located in Coarsegold, CA but are in the process of moving to a facility closer to the cities of Fresno and Clovis.
