ABOUT BILLY MADISON Slow and steady is the way to this boy's heart, or you could throw him a ball - that works too! Billy Madison is a 5.5 year old pittie mix that is seeking a loving, patient adopter to show him the good in this world. Billy came to us from a high-intake shelter partner when they no longer had space for him. It was clear this handsome man had a bit of a rough past and was stressed in the shelter environment, but over time he learned that we are just here to help him. Billy slowly began to let his true personality shine through and oh boy were we in love! He is super smart and very food motivated to learn new commands. When he's not zooming after a ball outside, you can often find him sprawled out in his kennel with a nice chew bone. Billy loves to play fetch with our staff and enjoys soaking up some sun outside. When he wants affection, he is sure to lean into you for some butt scratches. He has become quite the staff favorite and we know his forever family is out there. We would love to get Billy out of the shelter and into a loving, peaceful home where he can relax at last. **Due to Billy's initial worries, he is seeking a home with no other pets and adults only. You are welcome to submit an adoption questionnaire if interested in adoption! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis. We are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come for the meeting to ensure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
