Beautiful Skye is a 5 to 6 year old female German Shepherd. She was roaming afraid and hungry in a suburban neighborhood for over a week. Finally she gave up and allowed someone to approach her without barking or running. After a diligent search to find her owner's, it was determined that she was either abandoned or escaped from a bad situation. She was very thin, covered in fleas, had missing hair from a dirty tight collar, itchy flaky skin, and heartworm positive. Despite her discomfort, Skye was kind, gentle, and friendly. She likes people and other dogs of all sizes, cats not so much. She loves attention and would love to have a family of her very own. She walks perfectly on a leash. Now that she has completed heartworm treatment Skye is ready to find her forever home. If you would like to add this beautiful girl to your family please apply. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate.
