Ms. MOXIE is a 4 or 5 yr young, spayed, female terrier mix, around 50lbs, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and flea/tick free. Prior to being rescued she spent most of her life crated in a basement. NOW in foster care, MOXIE is finding great pleasure and joy in life outside her crate, and some FUN with a few favorite toys ….. and recently a furry playmate (of similar size and similar age). Initially, MOXIE preferred to observe life from her crate; however, HER fosters have helped her explore the world beyond her crate, a little at a time, and NOW she is growing in confidence and blooming with courage. Ms. MOXIE is still a bit cautious (in her adventures outside) and somewhat independent girl, but is learning change can be good and fun ! She recently experienced and discovered a LOVE for a pet massage (outside her crate) so that is now a part of her new life experience in foster care. Because she is shy, cautious and reserved about about new experiences …. it seems to take at least 3 days before she will feels comfortable with a new family and new environment Recognizing her with a compliment seems to provide comfort and inspire a smile and/or tail wag. OUTSIDE, she meanders the yard, and will sometimes take a nap outside in the sunshine with you by her side. She walks very well on leash, and will do a short sprint if gets loose. INSIDE with her crate door open, she may meander through house OR collect a few toys (elk antlers and her soft squishy toy shown here) and retreat to her crate. In her crate, her toys and blanket provide her with comfort and security she enjoys at nighttime. Fenced yard is required for all of our adoptable friends.
