*PLEASE NOTE: The first step is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org * Meet Purdy! Introducing another one of our Super Bowl Babies! We rescued this sweet little girl, her 8 littermates and her mama off the streets a few weeks ago. Mom is a golden retriever but clearly whoever dad was, he had some strong genes! She is now 8 weeks old and ready for her furever home! Purdy is an absolute love and one of the quieter ones in the bunch. She is super patient with her siblings, but she is definitely more interested in playing with the big dogs! She has started to learn how fun toys are and now will regularly run for the toy basket when let out of the playpen. Purdy is a precious little girl and she can’t wait to find her furever people!! If you’re interested in adopting this cutie please complete an application! roversretreat.org *PLEASE NOTE: Purdy is being fostered in Redondo Beach and her adoption fee is $600*Adoption processWe rescue dogs and place them in foster homes until they are ready for adoption. We vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip, and provide any additional care such as surgery or rehabilitation. We help each dog get ready to be placed in a happy forever home. Potential adopters are asked to complete an online adoption application and may be visited by one of our volunteers to do a home interview. We aim to find the best fit for each dog's needs. Our adoption fees range between $400-$1,000 for domestic dogs and those from Mexico. Dogs are assigned an adoption fee based on several factors such as age, breed, health and behavior, amongst others. For our international dogs from overseas, adoption fees range $800-$2,000. International adoption fees are higher due to the travel and boarding costs, as well as the above-mentioned factors for domestic dogs. These dogs stay in their country of origin for weeks, or sometimes months, prior to being able to travel.
