Meet Edie. She is a year old and around 30-35lbs. She lived on a chain in a yard & was emaciated. Its possible she has heartworm disease, but we will get her all fixed up, whatever she needs! She is new to DHRA and will be seeing our vet soon. We will keep you updated as we learn more about her. You can pre-apply for her if you are local to SWFL. Adoption processWe reserve the right to refuse any adoption we consider unsatisfactory. Please be aware that all applicants must be at least 21 years old to adopt from Doghouse Rescue Academy and that we require a home check before we proceed to start foster/adoption.Shelter locationIf you see a pet you are interested in, please fill out an adoption application and we will reach out to you and arrange a meet and greet and continue the adoption process. Also please keep in mind that not all dogs listed may be available; some dogs may be on a foster to adopt trial and will be removed once the trial is completed and the adoption contract is signed.
