Buddy is a cute 6-year old male Beagle who was surrendered by his owner to the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden on June 22, 2023 along with his dad (Butch) because their family was moving and couldn't take them along. Buddy has a tricolor short smooth coat with brown/red ticking, a long tail, and an adorable tan/white Beagle face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, and large floppy ears. Buddy is a happy Beagle boy who was 'all smiles' when HSOV Kennel Tech Jared Nash spent time with him for outdoor photos on June 23, 2023. Buddy and his dad Butch didn't want to be very far from each other (even for their photo session), so HSOV Kennel Tech Aubrey Hall brought Butch for simultaneous photos that afternoon. We LOVE our compassionate HSOV Kennel Techs who take fantastic care of the dogs (and cats) who are entrusted to their care and are always willing to help them put their best paw forward for glamour pictures. Buddy weighs 36 lbs. He made a noble effort and walked fairly well on a leash for Jared. Buddy will be neutered before being adopted by his new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized). Buddy has an umbilical hernia which will be repaired when he is under anesthesia for his neuter procedure. UPDATE: Buddy was neutered on June 28, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. Buddy was in an adoptive home for a few weeks but came back to HSOV on July 30th and is looking for another home. His family reported that Buddy does very well with children, but that he is still working on his housetraining skills.
