Well this little lady struggled to walk on a leash when she first arrived with her handsome brother Layton, but walks like a pro now. What a wonderful companion to hang out with in the exercise yard! She is a perfect size, looks like a small lab, very pretty coat, with kind, smiling eyes. She quickly turned into a great tester dog, meaning she would happily meet new or shy dogs that hadn’t been out to play yet. Many times she would just lie down, which would put them at ease immediately. She loves to play with those that are ready to romp, and I’ve seen her just wander around and hang out with those not sure about the whole playing thing. In all cases she is very polite and friendly to all of the dogs she has met. She always enjoys the volunteers and appreciates every little pet she can get when out and about. Lavender would do very well in many different home environments. She loves other dogs and is not rough, so I would imagine she would do well with kids, she’s not the type to run them over and loves everyone. We need to get this sweet girl out into a home where she can spread the love. Who needs a cute, snuggly companion in their life?
