Animal Profile: Happy is an estimated 1-year-old 60 lb neutered male Shepherd mix who was taken in as a stray by Los Angeles Animal Services and transferred to our friends at Paws for Life K9 where he was assessed to be friendly with people and social with dogs. We will share more as we get to know him. Foster Update: This boy is very deserving of his name! He wags his tail constantly and is an exuberant pup. He is a little shy meeting new people but warms up quickly. He loves all dogs and is great at play; he would likely do best with another dog in the home. He has had exposure to cats and sometimes chases but seemingly not with malintent. He would likely be okay with a dog-savvy cat. He is gaining confidence walking on leash and will need more practice on this as well as general house manners (what are dog toys?). He is great in the crate and hasn't had any accidents with vigilance about giving him outside potty opportunities. Happy is really a sweet boy -- though he's energetic he loves to relax and snuggle with his people and gladly accepts belly rubs from his humans. Basic obedience is a work in progress. He has quickly learned sit and touch and will learn much more with a family who continues his training!
