OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:Bane is a little shy at first, but warms up when you are calm and gentle with him. Once he knows you, he will follow you around and sit near you. He’d love to be a lap dog if he could! Bane has a condition called “cherry eye.” It often occurs after a tear gland in a dog’s third eyelid becomes inflamed. While it is not extremely painful, sometimes a dog will rub at it as if it were itchy. Bane should be seen by a veterinarian to evaluate whether or not surgery will be required. A medical release of liability will need to be signed upon adoption. Bane is having a hard time coping with shelter life and the sooner he can find a home, the better. He walks well on the leash and appears house trained. He doesn’t seem to mind the other cats and dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 73 pounds; $25 to adopt.
