For Adoption: Layla is a 15 lb., 7 month old sweetheart. Due to medical issues her owner is no longer capable of caring for her puppy. Sadly, her previous owner is officially bed bound in a hospital and there is no able bodied person to care for her pup properly. Layla is still learning leash training and still needs some work with house-breaking. Like all Jack Russels, Layla loves to hear herself bark when she is bored. This breed was bred to bolt foxes from their dens during hunts, and used on numerous other ground-dwelling critters such as groundhogs. They are also bred to be protective of their home and owners, which can cause excessive barking when they see people, other dogs, or are bored. Layla is content being a loving lap dog as long as she gets some good quality exercise preferably with another young dog to tire her out. She was accustomed to sleeping in bed with her owner and LOVES to cuddle. She is great with other dogs and kids. She likes cats but can play kind of rough so a cat that doesn’t mind holding it’s ground and giving her a swat or two would be best. Thank you for your interest in rescue.
