Champ is such a gentle giant. His beautiful loose leash walking always shocks people due to his large size, but he is just so laid back and mellow! We adore this big headed boy and hope someone comes for him soon. Champ knows sit and will gladly learn more commands if he is enticed with a treat. While Champ should be the only dog in the home, he could be safely walked in a neighborhood! We feel this chill, sweet boy would be such a wonderful companion. Champ is listed as "escape artist" because he kept getting out of the yard in his former home. Recently, Champ went on a Dog Day Out and was SUCH a good boy! He rode well in the car, greeted strangers nicely, and was easily walked by bikes and dogs in the bark. Champ was a CHAMP on leash (as per usual) and really enjoyed being out and about for a day! Heartworms are a preventable and treatable condition. Champ is heartworm positive, but has begun his treatment and will go home with his remaining treatment at no cost to the adopter thanks to our Have-A-Heart program!
