**Currently fostered in Seattle, WA and ready for meet and greets!** Veronica the gentle pup! When I met Veronica her timid sweetness stood out to me. She gently climbs up in your lap and nuzzles in. She wanted affection and in your lap the most. Fun fact about Veronica … new most favorite thing to do is lay in her foster moms backyard in the sun! She also absolutely loves laying outside in the grass and stretching her legs under the sun!She goes on runs with her foster mom, and her foster mom said she's the best running partner she's ever had! She has no problem keeping up and checks in with her handler. This sweet girl has shown no food aggression to other dogs or people! Veronica has had no accidents inside for a few weeks and is being bell trained. She’s a smart girl and doing so well! Veronica officially knows and understands the word “kennel” and goes in with no issues! Veronica did very well at a meet and greet with four other puppies, a small dog and a cat! The small dog terrorized her and sweet Veronica just ran off. She couldn’t figure out why or what she did wrong! She had a great time running around meeting the new pups and strangers! She greeted everyone with a tail wag and a wet kiss. Her eyes just light up being around other people. Veronica paid no attention to the cat. Although she hasn’t lived with a cat we think she did so good at her initial meeting. Veronica is 6 months old, 35 lbs, and we think she's a Lab mix, but with rescue we never know for sure. Veronica needs a family that will give her structure and boundaries while growing up. She will need to continue learning house manners and leash skills. Veronica is a pleaser so we know she won’t be hard to train! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van or bus transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $700 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
